For 10½ years, from 1999 to 2009, Dave and Mandy pioneered and ran a free church called ‘Church on the Hill’ in south Birmingham.
The Jeremiah Tree fund really grew out of the gifting activities of that church, which although in a deprived area of Birmingham, managed to collect handsomely for needy people and projects near and far:
For example, money sent abroad totalled £23,493, mainly to Romania, The Philippines and Pakistan.
After visiting the Philippines early in 2016 and seeing at first hand the need for financial aid, Dave and Mandy established a dedicated fund (‘The Jeremiah Tree’) and during 2016, £5,600 was collected and sent in direct support of the project to help the Aetas people in the Philppines.
In the winter of 2017-18 Dave and Mandy were called to minister in a beautiful but remote part of Scotland. From there they set up a weekly streaming broadcast service over the internet, initially for the highlands community.
